2004 brought us fruit characteristic of an early spring, and a slow and steady ripening period that ended with a fast, hot finish several weeks ahead of traditional harvest timelines. Although the crop was smaller than expected, the quality was outstanding. 2004 Tudal Cabernet Sauvignon is a memorable vintage - great garnet color, ripe flavor concentration and tannin extraction.
Tasting Notes: Deep opaque color, elegant perfumed nose of cassis, blackberries and spicebox. Loads of lush berry fruit give an opulent round mouthfeel. Soft resolved tannins on the finish make this wine ready to drink now and yet able to last five to seven years. Great with hearty stews and pastas.

Just a few miles north of the town of Napa, in the middle of the “Oak Knoll District”, lies the 3-acre Clift family vineyard. The fruit from this farm produces very small yet intense berries with concentrated flavor and color.
We so loved this 2004 Napa Valley fruit that we decided to make a single vineyard “Clift” Cabernet Sauvignon and bottle it under our Tudal Family label.
Gorgeous, perfumed floral nose combined with mixed dark fruit and black currant. Full-bodied with plum and berries on the palate, a round mouthfeel with earthy tannins on the finish. This is made in a very pleasing “drink me tonight” style.
On March 23-25, 2007, John Tudal and Ted Baltas poured Tudal Wines at the San Francisco 49ers Foundation Celebrity Winter & Wine Festival at The Resort at Squaw Creek in Squaw Valley, Lake Tahoe. Tudal Winery is very excited to have been invited to participate in this worthwhile event. The 49ers Foundation supports development programs for underserved youth that keeps them safe, on track and in school. Under the direction of team co-owners Denise and John York, the 49ers Foundation has raised and donated $4 milion dollars to
non-profit organizations over the last four years alone, making it one of the premier foundations in the National Football League.
